Black Handle Specialist Knives Set/4

$292.00

Handmade in the United Kingdom, David Mellor's black handle knives have a distinctive, modern look. Ice hardening the high carbon stainless steel makes the blades exceptionally sharp, akin to professional kitchen knives. The blades are then micro-serrated for effortless cutting and their acetal resin handles incorporate an internal back weight, giving an excellent balance and grip.

This knife set comes in a specially designed wooden box with a sliding lid. It's a perfect gift set and the handmade box can provide permanent safe storage for these exceptional knives.

The black handle knife collection was designed by Mellor's son, Corin Mellor.

    DETAILS

This set of 4 kitchen knives with specialist functions contains:
    - Paring knife serrated 10cm
    - Vegetable knife serrated 12cm
    - Chopping knife 14cm
    - Bread knife serrated 22cm

    CARE

While David Mellor knives are technically dishwasher safe, we recommend washing and thoroughly drying by hand after each use to promote longevity. Knives that are left to sit in food, water residue or dishwashers at the end of their cycle could develop pits and stains. If stubborn stains do appear, use a stainless steel cleaner.

    MEET THE MAKER

Known primarily for his flatware, exceptional kitchen knives and two London stores, David Mellor is celebrated for his contribution to British design. Having been commissioned both by 10 Downing Street and Queen Elizabeth II, the industrial designer's work spans decades and has a permanent home in London's Design Museum. David Mellor died in 2009, yet his work is carried on by his son Corin, who continues to produce timeless, quality pieces for the brand.
