Lavendar Sour
Recipe by Quanto Basto
Patio season is soon upon us, and to get in the mood, we asked our neighbours at Quanto Basta to mix up a few drinks in honour of the warmer days ahead. We hope they put a spring in your step, or liven up your drinks repertoire.
Ingredients
1 oz Bacardi white rum
½ oz apricot brandy
Splash of Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
Splash of Triple Sec
1 oz lavender simple syrup
Juice of ⅔ lemon
1 oz egg white
For Lavender Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 tbsp fresh lavendar blossoms
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in your cocktail shaker. Dry shake first, then add ice to wet shake. Strain into flute. Garnish with pinch of fresh Lavender.
Lavender Simple Syrup (recipe by All Recipes):
Combine water, sugar, and lavender blossoms in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let syrup steep for about 30 minutes.
Pour syrup into a sterilized glass jar through a mesh strainer to remove blossoms; let cool.
