Bourbon Rosemary Lemonade
Recipe by Quanto Basto
Patio season is soon upon us, and to get in the mood, we asked our neighbours at Quanto Basta to mix up a few drinks in honour of the warmer days ahead. We hope they put a spring in your step, or liven up your drinks repertoire.
Ingredients
2 oz Woodford Reserve bourbon
1 oz rosemary simple syrup
½ oz lemon juice
½ oz pear nectar
Sparkling lemonade
For Rosemary Simple Syrup (makes 2 cups):
Water
10-12 long stalks of rosemary
1 cup white sugar
Instructions
Combine bourbon, rosemary simple, pear nectar and fresh lemon in your shaker. Shake on ice, strain over ice and top with sparkling lemonade. Garnish with burnt rosemary.
Rosemary Simple Syrup (recipe by Food & Wine):
Boil water and pour over rosemary to submerge completely. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then stir in the sugar until it dissolves. Cover and let sit for at least 2 hours and up to 12. Strain before using and refrigerate any extra.
