Designed to evoke the feeling of a single continuous piece of wood, this pepper mill is delicate looking yet amazingly strong. A solid stainless steel mill with a Danish ceramic grinding mechanism (durable enough to be used with rock salt, if desired) hides behind a thin layer of wood. Meticulously honed and assembled to form its curvaceous grain-matched body, each pepper mill takes several days to make by hand.

The two UBC grads-one an industrial designer and ardent carpenter, the other holding a PhD in Materials Engineering-joined forces to bring us products made from ethically sourced wood designed to last a lifetime.
