Born in Toronto in 1947, Jim Lorriman has pursued woodworking from a young age. For the past ten years he has been applying his skills full-time as a self-taught woodturner in his Mulmur Hills, Bits & Pieces Studio, near Mansfield, Ontario.
Different kinds of woods pass through the door of Jim's studio - stair railings, window frames, siding, hockey sticks, old boat parts, lathing and dock cedar. He works his magic and this wood begins a new life as one of Jim's creations.
