Established in 1735, Richard Ginori is one the oldest porcelain manufacturers in the world. Known as the Ferrari of tableware, the company has established itself as the gold standard in the world of luxury goods. Ginori porcelain has graced the museums and tables of many European fine homes and luxury hotels, including the Vatican. Known for quality, craftsmanship and Italian design, Richard Ginori was acquired in 2013 by the Gucci fashion house.
Fiesole is a town in the Tuscan region of Italy, on a famously scenic height above Florence. By the 14th century, rich Florentines had countryside villas in Fiesole, and some of their more famous residents have included Gertrude Stein and Frank Lloyd Wright. Such is the inspiration for the bucolic scene central to the design of the Fiesole collection by Richard Ginori, one of their top selling patterns. Note the delicate 24 carat gold garlands and border decoration with blue accents.
