The Opinel Santoku Knife performs a wide variety of cutting tasks, from fine chopping and dicing to paper-thin slicing. The wide blade makes it possible to scoop cut pieces and transfer them from the cutting board to awaiting pots or bowls. Stainless steel blade with a polymer handle is resistant to water, temperature and wear.
An Opinel knife has become emblematic of French culture, with Pablo Picasso reportedly using one as a sculpting tool. Each knife is made of a beechwood handle and stainless steel blade. Opinel is recognized in the Victoria & Albert Museum as one of the 100 best designs, along with the Porshe 911 and the Rolex Watch.
