Maple Soy Glazed Trout



1 large or 2 small trout fillets
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce


Step 1

Whisk syrup, soy sauce, and chili garlic sauce in a shallow mixing bowl or dish. Add trout and coat, marinating for 30 minutes and turning occasionally. Drain the marinade into a small saucepan.

Step 2

Heat a cast iron pan over medium heat. Add the trout and cook until slightly charred outside and just opaque in the center, about 3 minutes per side.

Step 3

Boil the marinade until reduced to approximately 1/4 cup sauce, about 4 minutes. Place 1 salmon fillet on each of 4 plates, drizzle with sauce, and serve.
